Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game “Poppy Playtime”. Poppy Playtime is one of hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands. To give a taste of our brand’s popularity, Poppy Playtime had 7.5 billion views of Huggy Wuggy videos on YouTube.
MOB Entertainment is looking for a talented Game Animator to collaborate with a team of other Animators, Storyboard Artists, Technical Artists and Programmers to tell a story and help us continue to push the limits of character animation for our upcoming titles.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
● Assist a team of animators in the development of high quality in-game animations and cinematics.
● Reference storyboards if provided.
● Develop excellent visual frames and strong poses that represent the characters and serve the game’s design goals.
● Partnering with the animation team to help develop a unique animation style for specific characters
● Present work to the team, seek input, and incorporate feedback from leads and teammates.
● Commit to deliverables and manage your goals within regular milestones and deadlines, while maintaining the appropriate style over the course of a project.
● Continually refine processes for animation throughout production to increase productivity for the animation team.
● Animate a diverse range of compelling, alluring, and fear inducing creatures/characters that support unique and dynamic gameplay.
WHAT YOU NEED:
● 2+ years of experience animating in Autodesk Maya
● 1 + years of experience with animation implementation utilizing Unreal Engine
● Ability to match the style and bar for animation on project’s through the delivery of high quality animation
● Strong understanding of body mechanics
● A keen eye for performance and weight
● Experience with creature animation (bipedal & quadrupedal)
● Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work collaboratively and inspire in a team environment
● Creativity in problem-solving and the ability to think outside of the established solutions
PLUSES
● Experience with game animation implementation into engine
● Working with animation blend trees and have previous experience with node-based animation editors in a commercial or proprietary game engine.
