And this is where you come in! As a Junior Animator at Omeda Studios, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of AAA animations working within our Animation Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Animator to gain hands-on experience in the game development industry.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Design and implement high-quality AAA animations to support gameplay and art direction.
  • Animate complete character sets from motion capture including: locomotion, abilities, lobby, and emote animations in Autodesk Maya.
  • Collaborate closely with art, VFX, design, and programming teams to anticipate and overcome challenges, meeting visual requirements and constraints.
  • Implementing and testing animations into Unreal Engine.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Junior level animators with an applicable degree or certificate.
  • A strong reel/portfolio showcasing strong understanding of body mechanics and game animation.
  • Animators who are interested in working with a motion captured pipeline.
  • A critical eye for timing, spacing, and strong posing.
  • Understanding of game animation fundamentals.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience with motion capture.
  • Experience in Unreal Engine
  • Skills in secondary areas such as rigging, skinning, and scripting
  • Understanding of HIK rig in Autodesk Maya.
  • Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games.
  • A passion for MOBAs.
