We’re in search of a Lead 3D Artist (f/m/d) who can play a pivotal role in creating, what we believe, will be the first MMO of its kind.
So who would you be working with?
You would sit in our 3D Art Team team, responsible for all the 3D Art content in our game SEED, including 3D Models, Map & Terrain, Rendering & Lighting, VFX.
This team works from our Klang HQ in Berlin.
So, what would you be doing?
- As an artist, you will collaborate closely with the Art Director, concept artists, engineers and other stakeholders to bring SEED’s Art Direction from vision to reality, supporting the effort to break the direction down into actionable guidelines using your real-time content production knowledge.
- As an expert in in-engine content, you will help the team bring content into the game and maintain their vision in the process through well-defined and efficient pipelines, made in tandem with tech artists.
- As a lead, you will guide and inspire in-house and external 3D artists as they produce content to ensure consistent and high quality visuals, giving feedback and supporting them, both in the day-to-day work and as they grow as professionals.
You could be the person we are searching for if you have…
- 5+ years experience as an Artist in video games, with at least 1 shipped AAA title, and experience leading and managing an art team
- Excellent communication skills as a leader, collaborator, and mentor
- Skills in low-poly assets modelling and modular content creation
- Vast knowledge 3D package Blender (Maya is a bonus) and the game engine Unity
- Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in an open and agile environment

So what can you expect to be working on after starting with us?
In your first 30 days:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the existing 3D art for SEED.
- Complete familiarization with current development tools, methods, and workflow, including source control and the 3D pipeline.
- Become integrated within the cross-functional team, able to ask questions, propose solutions, and provide feedback effectively.
In your first 60 days:
- Take over people management of the 3D artists.
- Collaborate closely with art, design and tech teams to ensure that the 3D pipeline runs smoothly.
- Review and manage all outsourcing work and ensure that the team can seamlessly integrate the incoming assets.
In your first 90 days:
- Continuously improve and maintain the 3D art pipeline, taking full ownership of the pipeline from a 3D art perspective.
In your first 180 days:
- Conduct comprehensive art reviews and share findings with the team to shape the future direction of SEED.
- Mentor and guide the artists on the team, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment.
- Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating relevant techniques into the art process for SEED.
- Demonstrate significant contributions in improving the overall user experience and engagement in SEED.
