We are looking for a Senior Director, Business Development to lead our high performing Business Development function at Kabam. You will play a pivotal role in driving our business expansion through partnerships, strategic alliances and market growth. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, fostering relationships, driving day-to-day business development operations and executing new strategies that support the growth and market presence of Kabam.

  • Identify, negotiate, and establish partnerships with game developers, publishers, platforms, and other industry players to expand our product portfolio and distribution channels.
  • Oversee Kabam’s deal pipeline, from target sourcing to proposal crafting and presenting, deal negotiation, close, and integration.
  • Research, source, and analyze new partnership opportunities that align with Kabam’s business strategies.
  • Evaluate the suitability and potential of these opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Provide transactional leadership for agreement negotiations and execution with target companies and their advisors.
  • Ensure that all transactions align with Kabam’s strategic goals.
  • Lead and drive day-to-day business development operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including , operations, marketing, and legal, to align activities with deal and strategic initiative requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively track the performance of completed transactions and communicate the results to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset).
  • 10+ years of experience in similar capacity, including venture capital, private equity, strategy consulting, investment banking or corporate development experience.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, with ability to operate at all organization levels.
  • An ability to drive projects cross-functionally, synthesize feedback, develop consensus and create structure in an agile environment.
  • Experience building and reviewing financial models.
  • Strong financial acumen and deep understanding of valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
  • A research driven mindset that’s anchored in curiosity and balanced with excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to work with all stakeholders at leadership and executive levels
  • An action-oriented, entrepreneurial, and innovative approach to work with a desire to succeed in a high-pressure environment.
