Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Senior QA Engineer to join our Product team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver high-level test strategies and methodologies while taking a hands-on approach to see that they are implemented efficiently. Our team focuses on manual and automated testing, end to end testing, test strategy, and process improvements, while working in an embedded manner with cross-functional engineering, product and support teams.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of engineering applied to multiple features here at Linden Lab. In addition you will help create and support the unique safer online space for self expression and creativity. This person reports directly to the Supervisor, QA.

What We’ll Create Together
- Design detailed test strategies, scripts and test plans
- Identify software defects, run test suites, and verify fixes
- Enter and update bugs in our defect tracking system (Jira/github issues)
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and support to triage defects/issues found throughout the development cycle
- Significant contribution to the QA team’s development of automation of front and back end testing
- Evolve and define engineering and QA process improvements
- Leverage defect metrics to improve development and testing practices
What You’ll Bring to the Team
At Linden, we celebrate all the dimensions of diversity, including diversity of experience. We recognize that candidates applying for this role will be most successful if they bring the following with them:
- 5+ years as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with a background in functional, integration, and regression testing of applications across multiple platforms
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic training and experience
- Expertise with automated test frameworks such as Playwright, BDD, or similar
- Ability to work independently to triage issues and prioritize tasks
- A passion for writing thorough and concise test documentation
- Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and problem solving
- Experience testing applications across multiple platforms
- Experience testing web application backend services and content creation tools
- Experience with the following: Python, Shell Scripting, Lua, C++
- Experience with service management and monitoring in AWS

Linden’s Total Rewards philosophy ensures a fair, equitable, and unbiased approach to compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Depending on your work location, the annual salary for this position can have a varied range + RSU equity incentive plan + generous benefits program, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Actual target base pay within this range is dependent on many factors, including experience, competencies, skills, internal equity, and calibration of market data. Our compensation philosophy is supported by a location-based strategy, adjusted for any applicable geographic differential. We enter new hires at the midpoint of the geo-defined range and our talent partners will discuss specifics during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$105,500 — $168,000 USD
