KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Optimize scenes and assets to ensure smooth performance and optimal player experience.
Test and troubleshoot optimization issues.
Research and implement technical improvements.
Train other artists in best practices, tools and processes.
Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies related to VR optimization and asset creation.
Provide technical tools and guidance to ensure art assets meet performance and quality standards.

You are able to analyse and solve workflow/pipeline issues.
Your communication and documentation is accessible and concise, supporting the art and tech team’s efforts.
Comfortable collaborating with other disciplines.
Multiple years of experience working in the games industry.
Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine e.g. shaders, blueprint, particle systems.
Good understanding of performance implications and optimizations.
Strong knowledge of pixel and vertex shaders.
Familiarity with special effects software (e.g. FumeFX, RealFlow, Embergen, Houdini).
Knowledge of modelling and texturing pipeline.
