Senior Technical Capture Artist Job Description
Scopely is looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Capture Artist to join our Marketing team Flamed in Barcelona Office on a Hybrid basis!

We are the in-house creative agency, Flamed, an International multidisciplinary team. We build thousands of creatives every year to support all Scopely games Marketing needs worldwide. You will work on the leading mobile mid-core games like Star Trek Fleet Command and Stumble Guys, among others.
What You’ll Do as a Senior Technical Capture Artist
If you are an experienced Senior Technical Capture Artist with a sense of storytelling combined with a passion for mid-core games and action movies, this position is for you!
Learn to use all game builds to compose various in-game animations.
Collaborate with the creative team in brainstorms, ideations, storyboards before production.
Build and capture quality sequences in-game to be used in advertising, trailers, and social creatives.
Compose and capture still shots of game play and 3D models.
Build impactful scenes playing around camera angles, actions and visual effects.
Work with an attention to detail attitude in a constructive cross-feedback environment.

What We’re Looking For in a Senior Technical Capture Artist
Experience in Unity is a must either as a Capture Artist, Pre-visualisation Artist, or 3D environment Artist. Knowledge in Unreal would be a plus.
Strong ability to understand code in C# and quickly spot and troubleshoot issues within it, also have the experience in creating scripts to automate and speed up work processes.
Be familiar with source control tools like Github or SourceTree.
Minimum 5 years experience in gaming, marketing services or film industry.
Previous experience building scenes in unity and building complex animations.
Strong sense of composition, color, and animation timing.
Experience with video production software including Premiere and After Effects.
A good understanding of cinematic language, camera terminology and expertise in the use of visual effects in Unity.
Enjoys collaborating with designers, video editors and motion designers to deliver great advertising and marketing creatives.
Excellent communication skills in English

You will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the content creation pipeline (modeling/Uv’ing, texturing/shading, lighting, VFX, and creating tools, shaders and technical solutions for game development.
Experience as a Technical Artist on shipped AAA titles.
Experience with PBR materials and shader creation and knowledge of the Unity shader editor
Knowledge of version control systems
Strong Scripting and Coding Skills (ie. Unity)
Aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues and possess strong problem solving skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive attitude for bridging the communication between art and engineering
Familiarity working and developing on a multi-platform project
You have in-depth knowledge of technical limitations and requirements for in game art assets
Proven experience building art production tools for Maya, Substance Painter, Unity
Experience working in real-time lighting workflows using a combination of baked and real-time lighting models.
As a Senior Technical Capture Artist you will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the content creation pipeline (modeling/Uv’ing, texturing/shading, lighting, VFX, and creating tools, shaders and technical solutions for game development.
