What is your role?
As a Technical Art Director for Eleventh Hour Games , you will act as the bridge between an artist and a developer, m aking sure we are making the best technical choices, developing efficient pipelines and driving the performance and visual quality of our games. We’re looking for an experienced leader with extensive technical knowledge and who is passionate about managing people and driving best practices across our team.
This role is ideal for someone who craves ownership and has strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal. The role requires excellent communication skills and autonomy as you will be working with a fully remote team.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of applicable professional experience as a Technical Artist/TD/Tools Programmer in the video games industry
- 2+ years in a People Leadership role
- 2+ years in a People Leadership role
- 3+ years of working experience with Unity
- 4+ years of experience with writing tools and developing workflows
- Working C# knowledge is a prerequisite for the role
- Strong understanding of performance optimization including animation, particle systems, Unity game objects, renderers, shaders
- Strong communication, self-management, organizational, and planning skills
- Ability to work within and set a schedule and deliver to deadlines effectively
- Experience with automation services such as Jenkins
- Experience using Motionbuilder and/or Maya as a Technical Artist/TD
- Experience working with the Agile Scrum methodology
- Experience with workflow monitoring tools such as ClickUp
- Experience writing APIs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with setting up CI/CD systems on Github or Gitlab platforms
- 2+ years in a People Leadership role
Responsibilities:
- Lead ongoing performance optimization efforts related to animation, particle systems, Unity game objects, renderers, shaders
- Lead optimization process development and oversee them across the studio
- Provide fast, sustainable integration support for departments
- Push the graphic fidelity of Last Epoch further while improving game performance
- Collaborate and communicate with various other departments
- Design, build, improve and optimize pipelines used by associated teams to streamline and support production
- Properly document new additions and modifications to processes for both developers and users
- Effectively communicate and perform updates to software to support teams across the board
- Review and provide feedback for submitted code
