Our multiplayer online game Golf Rival (https://www.zynga.com/games/golf-rival/) had over 6 million downloads last year, and we are looking for an experienced Lead Game Designer to work with the Game Lead, Product Manager, and other Lead positions to help us overcome challenges and lead our design team to achieve even greater success.

What you’ll do:
• Responsible for leading the design of the Golf Rival game project
• Overseeing high-level decisions that affect how the game plays and looks in conjunction with other game leaders
• Collaborate with game and company leadership to define creative strategy and future planning
• Conduct in-depth research on the game’s economic system, identify issues, and propose improvement solutions to increase game revenue.
• Conduct market research, analysis, and data monitoring to keep abreast of market and user needs and provide support for game updates and iterations.
• Build a collaborative relationship with each functional team
• Lead and participate in design brainstorming sessions
• Be an amazing people manager to game designers by mentoring them and developing their careers
• Generate excitement and enthusiasm in the team
Skills & Requirements
What we are looking for:
• Significant mobile game design experience, including successfully running a live game as a lead game designer
• Proven experience successfully collaborating with game and company leadership
• Strong knowledge of video games, both current and historical, across all platforms
• Solid understanding of popular mobile games and the design mechanics that work well within them
• Strong affinity for and understanding of free-to-play mechanics and economies
• Excel in project planning, resource allocation, quality control, and goal attainment for each release, with an emphasis on maintaining high quality.
• Improve design processes and practices to increase quality and accuracy
• Deep understanding of the bigger picture of game development, including the impact of their decisions with respect to financial outcomes
• Ability to inspire teams to make the highest quality product possible
• Good management and collaboration skills, able to effectively lead and manage the game design team and develop other designers.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, An English resume should be attached.
