We’re seeking a Full-stack Developer with strong JavaScript skills to join our Central Tech & Services (CTS) department. CTS manages the Paradox service ecosystem, offering a range of services and products to our games and studios. This includes our game engine, mods platform, accounts service, game SDKs, multiplayer platforms, social features, websites, and online store.
You will be part of the Paradox Mods team, working with our proprietary mods platform, but you will also familiarize yourself with other parts of our service ecosystem as well as our game studios, to be able to assist other teams in the department where needed.
Some of what you will be doing..
- Elaborate, investigate and collaborate on requests related to our mods platform
- Build and maintain backend services in Node.js
- Build and maintain frontends made with React and CSS

Your role in the team is flexible and can include being the one who identifies and designs viable solutions as well as implements them – or mentors others in doing so.
Hard skills we’re looking for…
- Professional experience with Node.js
- Professional experience working with React and CSS
- Experience working with relational databases
- General understanding of how backend APIs work (CRUD, REST, etc.).
- General understanding of best practices for caching and performance
Practical information:
Scope: Full time and permanent
Reports to: Development Manager
Location: This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden
We are currently only looking for candidates located in Sweden for this position!
