Scopely is seeking a highly motivated Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our WWE Champions team on Remote U.S. basis. This candidate must be located in a timezone compatible with working in the United States of America.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, architect and implement backend features and server code for our Unity based game
  • Occasionally assist with frontend development in Unity, or build React, Javascript, HTML, and CSS frontend elements for tooling
  • Write game server code in both C#, and Python, with occasional NodeJS code for web portal and website assistance
  • Create database tables, caching layers, and integrate with Devops to architect systems that can scale
  • Deliver code and supporting documentation of the highest quality through good design, attention to detail and system testing on a timely basis
  • Work in an agile environment where your opinions matter
  • Team up with skilled colleagues that are committed to delivering the best products possible
  • Share knowledge and help colleagues both inside and outside of your team

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong Django and C# coding skillset
  • Experience with frontend game development using Unity
  • Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals (data structures, concurrency, design patterns, algorithms)
  • High-quality and maintainable code writing (Clean Code, SOLID, DRY, Design Patterns, OOP)
  • Experience with asynchronous, multi-threaded, parallel programming paradigms. Socket programming, Game Development experience.
  • High degree of competency in Python, C#, and NodeJs, understanding of ORMs and SQL
  • At least 2 shipped titles in Unity, at least 5 years of experience on professional game development teams or equivalent personal experience. Must be proficient in building web ui as well as backend API endpoints and understanding the C# socket gameserver – you are responsible for all things server side development.
  • Experience fixing bugs and refactoring complex systems
  • Heavy experience with source control (git)
  • Product engineering mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Fluency and professional command of the English language

Bonus Points

  • Experience with AWS, Linux, SSH, deployment and Devops.
  • Previous experience developing shared tools
  • Experience with frontend game development using Unity and C#
  • Experience developing your own games (bonus points for linking us to a title on the app or play store)
  • Hands-on experience with mobile development (Android, iOS)
  • You like to play games too

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $ 139 ,900 -$ 209,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
