The Fortnite Creative Team is bringing the entire toolset of Unreal Engine and the Unreal Editor to developers and creators to make and publish experiences within Fortnite. As part of this team, you will implement gameplay systems, APIs, and tools that will empower Fortnite creators to build the next generation of amazing gameplay experiences!
- Design, implement, and deliver technical gameplay features and systems
- Solve technical challenges and maintain gameplay features and systems that underpin Unreal Editor for Fortnite and Fortnite Creative
- Diagnose and fix gameplay, memory, performance, networking, and scalability issues
- Distill feature requests into meaningful, actionable work items
- Mentor others to support their technical and professional growth
- Write robust, maintainable code
- You are self-motivated, solutions-focused, and own the outcome
- Strong C++ skills and software programming principles
- 5+ years of experience, including experience with designing and implementing scalable, robust systems on AAA games or game engine technology
- A keen analytical mind with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including WA).
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
Washington Base Pay Range
$202,965 — $297,682 USD
